KMSME- Course Completion Certificate

As per the directives of the Directorate General of Shipping vide DGS Circular 18 of 2020, dated 24.04.2020, all students who has successfully completed the 4 year B.Tech degree course in Marine Engineering (pre-sea training) from K.M. School of Marine Engineering, CUSAT; and has successfully completed the Structured shipboard training programme as a Trainee Marine Engineer (shipboard training) for a period not less than 6 months as part of approved training programme for the pre-sea course, are entitled to apply for their Course Completion Certificate.

This Certificate will be issued to the eligible candidates only after the assessment of their “Training and Assessment Record” (TAR) book and other relevant documents.

Following documents must be submitted to KMSME along with the duly filled in application form.

  1. Printout of duly filled in application form
  2. Passport in original and Copies of first and last pages
  3. CDC in orginal and copies of relevant pages
  4. Seafarer profile printout
  5. Degree certificate (copy)
  6. Copy of Sea time certificates from ship
  7. Copy of company letter proving sea service
  8. On board TAR Book (Part 1 & Part 2(if applicable)) in original
  9. Copy of on board TAR Book pages 3 and 22
  10. copy of Boiler course certificate (if applicable)
  11. Copy of contract letter(s) of 6 months' assignment
  12. E receipt for SB collect payment
  13. Completely filled up TAR Book issued by the institute
  14. A complete & copy(spiral bound) of the above TAR Book

Canddates must present themselves in complete formals while visiting the instiute for applying/collecting the course completion certificate
