KMSME has got excellent infrastructure facilities to impart excellent training for marine engineering cadets. It includes the basic workshop to engine room simulators. CUSAT has developed a ship-in campus for the cadets. This laboratory has been setup to inculcate and enhance ideal marine engineering qualities including survival techniques augmented by highly experienced faculty. The facility helps to train the cadets to operate, troubleshoot and practise a maintenance of various machinery.
