The KMSME library has a good collection of resources in the field of Marine Engineering and Shipping which includes IMO publications and free online journals. The library is partialy automated and is one of the best scientific and technical libraries in the field of Shipping. Being an information centre of the university, the library has built up a balanced and rich collection of books for all branches of Engineering, Science and Humanities especially in Marine Engineering and Naval architecture. In addition, the University central library provides free online access to all the foreign e-journals subscribed by the University. The central library is accessed by KMSME students after their regular class hours.
KMSME library caters the information needs of students and faculty members of the school as well as provide necessary information support for the graduate seafarers inside and outside Kerala. The library uses KOHA, open source software for library automation and the digital library of the school uses DSpace software.
